ESSENTIAL OILS FOR IMPROVED HAIR GROWTH

Haircare can be difficult sometimes, but massaging the scalp with essential oils has proven to be quite beneficial to hair health. If you are looking for how to add more volume to those beards, these essential oils are your go-to, as they can help with everything from hair growth to adding strength and shine.

Tea Tree Essential Oil

This oil promotes hair development by unclogging hair follicles and its antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It also aids in the reduction of dandruff and itchy, dry scalp. It promotes hair growth by nourishing hair follicles and roots.

To incorporate Tea Tree essential oil into your daily hair care routine, add a few drops to shampoo and conditioner. You can also massage 2-3 drops of Tea Tree essential oil into your scalp using a carrier oil of your choice. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with a gentle wash.

Lavender Essential Oil

This oil has been shown to help prevent hair loss and encourage hair growth. It improves blood circulation in the scalp and aids in the maintenance of stronger, healthier-looking strands. When applied to hair, the soothing aroma of lavender essential oil helps settle nerves and has a relaxing effect.

Add 2-3 drops of lavender oil to a tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply the mixture to your hair and keep it on for at least 5–10 minutes, or overnight. Rinse thoroughly with a gentle shampoo. The hair follicles will be strengthened as a result of this. You may also improve the results of your hair care products by adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to the shampoo and conditioner.

Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary essential oil is an excellent choice if you want to increase hair thickness and growth. It increases blood flow to the scalp, supporting hair growth. It aids in the restoration of scalp tissue and is utilised in a variety of hair growth therapies. This anti-inflammatory oil also promotes hair thickness.

Apply a few drops of rosemary oil to your scalp after mixing it with olive or coconut oil. Allow for 10 minutes before washing with a gentle shampoo. To make it a regular hair regimen, mix this oil with your shampoo, conditioner, or hair treatments.

Peppermint Essential Oil

When peppermint oil stimulates circulation to the area it’s applied to, it might generate a cold, tingling sensation. During the anagen (or growing) phase, this can aid hair growth.

Combine 2 drops of peppermint essential oil with your preferred carrier oil. Massage it into your scalp for 5 minutes before completely washing it out with shampoo and conditioner.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

While people with oily hair and skin should avoid this, ylang-ylang oil can increase sebum production, making it excellent for those with dry scalps.

Because hair becomes dry and brittle due to a lack of oil and sebum, ylang-ylang helps improve hair texture and minimize hair breakage.

Wrap your head with a warm cloth and massage 2 tablespoons of heated oil and 5 drops of essential ylang-ylang oil into your scalp. Allow it to soak for 30 minutes before removing it.

Essential oils are often used in the production of hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, and serums for improved hair growth. Visit Groomed By Elereka to shop our hair care products.
